5 black residents file a lawsuit against the city of Lexington, the police Department. The fire chief of police and interim police chief. The complaint alleges the Department operates within a culture of corruption and lawlessness. Every day, subjecting blacks to harassment and police brutality in violation of their constitutional rights Attorney Jill Colin Jefferson is with jillian the civil rights law firm handling the case, she says, former police chief Sam Dobbins, who was fired in July for using racial slurs is still patrolling the streets, riding in the passenger seat with an on-duty officer peace patrolling and what this amounts to his witness intimidation. So these are are incredibly serious thing that are happening there and the environment. There is the tension is really life with that.
